I am thrilled, humbled, and excited to be the principal at Avondale Elementary School, a unique and amazing place of learning here in Birmingham city. A little about me professionally: I am a career educator, with 26 years of experience, over 14 as an administrator, and six as a building principal. I have served the Birmingham City System as an instructional coordinator, and  Avondale was one of 17 schools I served in an instructional support capacity. 

In the Spring of 2019, I told my supervisor I felt like Avondale has the staff, parents, community support, and students to have an A on the state report card. I believed it then, I believe it now, and I get the honorable opportunity to put my money where my mouth is and help guide AES to limitless heights!
