About Us
Central Park Elementary School serves approximately 400 scholars in Grades PreK - 5.
The present school building was completed in 1994 behind the old school site.
A new addition was completed in 2003.
CP provides the following services and programs:

Registration
The expectation is for all scholars to complete registration before the 1st day of school and be present on the 1st day of school.
All scholars must have a birth certificate, immunization record, proof of residency (lease or deed), and a copy of the child's social security card. Transfers must have the same information. Kindergarten scholars must be five years old before September 2nd of that school year.
BCS and CP adheres to the requirements of the McKinney-Vento Law. (State of Alabama law outlining guidelines for homeless scholars/families).
Attendance
The expectation is for scholars to be present and on time for school. Scholars arriving after 8:00 A.M. will be considered tardy. If a scholar must be absent due to illness or any reason, the parent should send a note stating the reason. Please notify the school in case of extended absences. Scholars are responsible for making up any work missed while absent.
