Greetings students, parents, grandparents,the community of Green Acres and other stakeholders;My name is Yancey Williams Sr., I am a veteran of the United States Navy, a proud graduate of Miles College and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. It is a pleasure to welcome each of you to our 2022-2023 school year at Green Acres Middle School.

First, I pray that God keeps us all safe this school year! I pray that our teachers teach like they want others to teach their children and grandchildren! Finally, I hope and pray that Corporate America (Birmingham Businesses) invest NOW in our most precious asset, our CHILDREN!

I have actively worked in the education arena for over 25 years. I have served as an assistant principal for the past 20 years. It brings me great joy to greet each of you. I wish you well and I look forward to servicing the community of Green Acres and the City of Birmingham.
