Email Dr. Stephanie Parker

Hello, I am Dr. Stephanie Parker.  I have been an Educator for 27 years and have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, first and third grades.  I have also been a district Reading Coach.  I hold a Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, a Master's degree in Instructional Leadership and a Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education. I have also earned National Board Certification in the field of Early Childhood Generalist.  I have been at Huffman Academy for 10 years and enjoy working with our students, staff, families and community partners. I am a married mother of four, and I have one granddaughter.  I look forward to working together to enhance our school community.

I am Lisa Long. I have worked with Birmingham City Schools for 23 years. I taught in the classroom for over 17 years. I then moved into the role of a Curriculum Specialist and transitioned into Leadership.  I am also a National Board Certified Teacher and a member of the Red Mountain Writing Project. I'm truly grateful and honored for the opportunity to be a part of the Huffman Academy Wildcat family. It has been an awesome year. 

Miles College is where I received my Bachelors in Education. I received both my Masters in Elementary Education and Leadership from UAB. One of my biggest accomplishments is being a wife and a mother of two beautiful children.
