Who Are We?

Inglenook Pre K - 8th Grade School serves a student body consisting of knowledgeable, caring, open-minded and reflective thinkers who are effective communicators.  Our students are resilient and principled as they seek to maintain well-balanced lives. Our students are from diverse backgrounds.  We have African American, Caucasian, Mexican, Honduran, Melanesian, and Micronesian students.

The Inglenook staff aim to provide our students with educational experiences which subscribe to global standards of learning and effectively prepare them for careers in a diverse technology-driven society.  Through a school-wide focus on Aviation, Engineering, and Creative Arts, students are engaged in academic programs and activities designed to stimulate interest and increase their knowledge of aeronautics and engineering and the broad range of careers that are associated with each.

To provide a comprehensive education that will prepare our students for successful careers in a high-tech global society.  In particular, we seek to stimulate student interest in careers in Aviation, Engineering, and the Creative Arts.

Birmingham City Schools will be a recognized leader in public education, meeting the needs of a diverse student population prepared to succeed in a global society.
