Students from Wenonah High School's Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) program showcased their leadership skills and engaged in valuable networking activities at the State Career Development Conference held at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex on March 5.
This annual event brought together students from across Alabama to participate in various competitions and activities aimed at fostering personal and professional growth. National Career Association (NCA) President Lamardric Richardson and Daliegha Watts, representing Wenonah High School, actively participated in the Regions Reality Check simulation, gaining valuable insights into real-world scenarios, and enhancing their financial literacy knowledge.
Dana Scott and Sean Ash demonstrated their commitment to excellence by participating in the NCA Competitive events. Sean's outstanding performance in Prepared Speaking earned him a remarkable 2nd place in the state, which secured him a spot at the National Career Development Conference in St. Louis, Missouri, April 17-21, 2024.
