A fund of the Women's Foundation of Alabama, The Brilliant Black Girl Collective is a philanthropic community that invests annually in the educational pursuits of Black girls graduating from Birmingham City High Schools. In May 2021, founding members – who either were born in Birmingham, live in Birmingham, or care about Birmingham – pooled personal financial resources to create pathways for deserving Black girls in Birmingham City High Schools, believing they deserve a chance to be assured and affirmed with the financial backing and seasoned guidance and expertise.
