The Wenonah Dragons, represented by Coach Nick Howard, Eldridge Shelton, and Neil Brown at the first-ever BCS Media Day at Legion Field, enter the 2024 season with high expectations. Meanwhile, the Lady Dragons, represented by Coach Ivan Lane, Samarian Franklin, and Makayla Williams, seek to duplicate their 2023 undefeated championship season.

Thousands of baseball fans poured into Birmingham this week for the MLB game at historic Rickwood Field and the tribute to the Negro Leagues. Birmingham City Schools' scholars had a close view of the historic event and an opportunity to meet many baseball greats. They also attended a star-studded luncheon with greats such as #ReggieJackson and comedian Roy Wood Jr., a BCS alum.

Four BCS Academies -- Huffman's Academy of Architecture and Construction, Ramsay's Wenonah's Academy of Hospitality & Tourism, and Woodlawn's Academy of Business & Finance -- have attained the NAF's highest achievement, the Katherine Blasik Distinguished Level. #BCSstrong #SuccessStartsHere
