Assistant Principal
Abigail Brown
I am truly humbled and appreciative of the chance to embark on the role of E. P. I. C. Alternative Elementary School's newly appointed assistant principal. As our leadership team, educators, and BCS students maintain their quest for excellence, I am fully committed as one of EPICs leaders.
I opted to continue my career as a proud BCS leader after joining the district more than 20 years ago as a teacher. I am a 1998 graduate of Holy Family High School. I graduated from Miles College with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood/Elementary Education, earned an M.Ed. in Elementary Education, an Ed.S. in Teacher Leadership, and an M.Ed. in Instructional Leadership from the University of Montevallo. Over the course of my teaching career, I served as an Elementary teacher and Early Learning Curriculum Supporter for BCS Pre-K classes.
Alongside Principal Grace, my objective as E. P. I. C. Alternative Elementary's assistant principal is to support academic excellence for every student. Student success is ultimately crucial! I pledge to support each child's academic, social, moral, and emotional growth at EPIC. Here at EPIC we develop the whole child by working together to achieve ultimate success in a safe, loving, and diverse environment!
I am grateful that Team E. P. I. C. welcomed me with open arms! I soar high as an eagle alongside our principal, faculty, staff, scholars, and families via hard work and dedication, and I do it with much gratitude and humility. Let us keep aiming for excellence in all that we accomplish.
