Principal Aulundria Grace
It is with great pleasure that I serve as the newly appointed Instructional Leader of E. P. I. C. Alternative Elementary School. It is truly an honor to become a part of the EPIC family and community where it is evident that our distinctive population of student learners are provided with a world-class education.
I have eighteen years of experience in the educational field that ranges from elementary to secondary education. I am a proud alumna of (BCS) West End High School's graduating class of 1995. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Miles College; M.Ed. in Elementary Education; Ed.S. in Teacher Leadership; and an Instructional Leadership Certification from the University of Montevallo. In November of 2010, I certified as a National Board Professional Teacher (NBCT) in Middle Childhood. Over the course of my teaching career, I served as an Elementary teacher, ARI Coach, Curriculum Coach, and Assistant Principal.
My goal as the Instructional Leader of E. P. I. C. Alternative Elementary is to reinforce Birmingham City School’s mission and vision to guide all students to achieve excellence in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment. Along with the teachers and staff, I will work diligently to continue the legacy of success by building strong relationships with parents, students, and community partners. We will also focus on character education, creating and sustaining a positive climate and culture for all students, leading with innovative initiatives, attracting and retaining high-performing students that exemplify a community of leaders on the road to success!
