Greetings Scholars,

I am Ms. Jamyah M. Bowden, the Student Government Association Advisor for the 2023-2024 Academic School Year. I have served as the Student Government Association Advisor since 2021, which has been a complete joy! Our SGA has had the pleasure of meeting State Representatives and Senators, Birmingham City Council members, Birmingham City Schools Board members, Dr. Martin L. King Jr.'s daughter Dr. Bernice King, and a host of other very important people locally and globally.

I am an Alumnae of the P.D. Jackson-Olin High School Class of 2015, where I served as a member of the Student Government Association and Senior Class Officer. Being the advisor of the SGA is a true passion of mine. During my matriculation at Miles College, I served as the Junior Class President for the 2017-2018 academic year and as a member of the Student Government Association for the 2018-2019 academic year.

The Student Government Association has many educational as well as social opportunities to offer scholars like you!! Continue to browse through our page to get connected with our Student Lead Organization.
