Coach T. Gainer has been coaching softball for over twenty years. He is a native of Panama City Florida, there he graduate from Bay County High School with his academic endorsement . There he lettered and excelled in football and basketball. He earned  Bachelor of Art Degree in Business Administration from Talladega College. He continued his education and earned a Master of  Education (MA) and Education Specialist (Ed. S) from Alabama A&M University.
