I’m glad to be a Physical Education teacher at Ossie Ware Mitchell Middle in Birmingham Alabama. I am a product of the Birmingham City Schools; I attend Center Street Elementary K-5, Robert E. Lee Middle 6-8 then West End High School 9-12. I received a BS in Therapeutic Recreation from Alabama State University. I continued my education with a Masters with qualification in Physical Education K-12 from Alabama State University.  I had the privilege to become a permanent substitute teacher in the Birmingham City Schools and have been teaching Physical Education for eleven years. Since then I’ve been encouraging my student to engage in an activity that may not be a favorite but by the time they leave my class they express to me how much they would like to learn more skills and techniques on a particular sport.
