Hi Students and Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself! My name is Alexis Long-Daniels and I am the School Counselor for Booker T. Washington K-8. I am so excited to be servicing your children this year and I feel very lucky to be part of you and your child’s support system!

As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic and social/emotional development of all students. It is never too early for children to explore various social and emotional areas to start on the path to reaching their fullest potential! I look forward to offering support to the students, staff, families, and community. I will be meeting with students individually and in small groups, conducting classroom SEL lessons, meeting with parents, collaborating with teachers and staff, and consulting with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all Booker T. Washington K-8 students.

I am an Associate Licensed mental health therapist, National Board-Certified Counselor, and Certified Trauma Professional. I have experience working in public school, inpatient, private practice, and residential settings. I am passionate about child mental health and community mental health education. I am so excited to work with you & be your support this year!
