Greetings, I am Ms. J. Dudley, School Counselor for scholars of J.H. Phillips Academy.  I have been in education since 2007.  I feel very blessed to be a part of the Lion Family!!

I would like to welcome you to the J.H. Phillips Academy School Guidance Department website.  As counselors, we work hard as a member of a team of professionals to create a caring and supportive environment, courses, and activities, as well as transitioning into elementary school, transitioning from elementary school to middle school, and transitioning from middle school to high school. 

Guidance services include, but not limited to:

• Individual/Small Group/Large Group Counseling

• Students Socialization and Orientation

• Occupational and Educational Exploration

• Developing Interpersonal Skills

• Developing Study Skills

This carefully planned system of guidance activities are derived from the ASCA standards.

I received my School Counseling master's degree from the University of West Alabama.  I also have a B.A. from Alabama A&M University, a M.Ed. from Alabama State University, and another M.Ed. in Educational Technology from National University.  I'm a native of Alabama, and I've been here the majority of my life.  When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, and I also enjoy writing, shooting photographs, and anything else in "The Arts."
