Welcome to the John Herbert Phillips Academy Library.

In administering the media program, I focus on the following:

• Equal access to resources

• Information that will support the curriculum

• Worthy and age appropriate literature in hopes to instill a love of literature

• Various, effective research tools which the student can easily manipulate

My goal is to ensure students will achieve success in all learning areas and complete their educational career possessing the skills to become lifelong learners.  I can be contacted via email or by phone at 231-9515. 

The John Herbert Phillips Academy is committed to superior education. The Library Media Center houses easily accessible information which supports the curriculum. This information is available to teachers, students, administrators and the community.

With the expanse of the world via technology, the Library Media Center introduces children to worlds beyond the perimeters of their community. Students must be capable of not only retrieving, but applying information through technology as well as print. The librarian strives to mold discriminating, lifelong learners by fostering in the child a love of literature and a hunger for knowledge.
