Hello Colonels!
My name is Demetrius Turner and I am honored to serve as the assistant principal at Woodlawn High School. I am excited to be a part of this school and community! It is my mission to build meaningful relationships with each and every one of our students, and to collaborate with parents and teachers to ensure the success of all students!
I am a native of Birmingham, AL and a proud graduate of Birmingham City Schools (Parker High School ’92). I am a graduate of Alabama State University, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation and a Master’s Degree in Physical Education (Go HORNETS)! I received my Master’s Degree in Administration from the University of Alabama Birmingham. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and twins, Lauren and Landon. I also enjoy fishing and watching sports.
