Hi, Students and Families,

I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself! My name is Alexis Long-Daniels, and I am the School Counselor for Booker T. Washington K-8. I am so excited to be serving your children this year, and I feel very lucky to be part of you and your child’s support system!

As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote all students' academic and social/emotional development. It is never too early for children to explore various social and emotional areas to start on the path to reaching their fullest potential! I look forward to supporting the students, staff, families, and community. I will meet with students individually and in small groups, conduct classroom SEL lessons, meet with parents, collaborate with teachers and staff, and consult with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all Booker T. Washington K-8 students.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Board-Certified Counselor, and Certified Trauma Professional. I have experience working in public school, inpatient, private practice, and residential settings. I am passionate about child mental health and community mental health education. I am so excited to work with you & be your support this year!
