I’m Ms. Valerie Freeman, and I’m excited to be in my eighth year teaching 8th grade. With a BS in English Language Arts Education and a Master’s in Collaborative Special Education, I’m dedicated to creating an inclusive and dynamic classroom where all students can thrive. My background in special education helps me tailor my teaching to meet the diverse needs of each student, ensuring that every learner has the support they need to succeed. I believe in Maslow’s idea that "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire," and I strive to inspire curiosity and a love for learning in every student I teach. Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, hiking, shopping, and spending time with my family.
