Parent & Family Engagement is a shared responsibility between school, home, and the community.  Regular two-way communication, commitment, and consistency are the key components that produce results in fostering the success of Birmingham City School students.

The Parent & Family Engagement Program promotes active engagement by providing parent support and parent volunteer opportunities through training, workshops, seminars, resources, and parent-focused collaboration.

Workshops and seminars for parents, adult family members and community leaders are conducted to build capacity in leadership skills for parents.  

The Parent & Family Engagement Program offers training for school volunteers. Volunteers must have a valid driver's license or state issued I.D. that can be screened through our Raptor safety and security software.
